Reflection

Writing this paper, I just kept thinking to myself about how controlled we really are. We believe we have a voice and power in this society but as you go deeper and deeper, you find that you really don’t. We basically just listen and spectate. I was interested in this topic because I like politics and conspiracies. Reading about this topic, you find more and more about the different opinions a lot of people have about this topic and the different sides people take regarding it. It has theories and facts at the same time which always keep you interested and questioning because even though there are facts, there are a lot of questions that you could come up with different answers to thinking about it. I learned about the amount of money the United State spends on the military compared to other countries. I also learned the different reasons why we were in wars in first place or at least why we think we entered the wars. I tried to use examples showing why the involvement could be good and/or bad by giving examples and focusing on one example which I focused on the Iraq war in 2003. Finally, it was a very enjoyable paper to write because of me being involved directly to the topic being from Iraq and living in the United States and also learned a lot about the American military involvement in international affairs and the pros and cons that come with it.
